Bow, T-Shirt DIY

Inspiration

I saw this cute tank top on Pinterest, and thought that it might make a really cute Tee-Shirt.
I made mine Green for St. Patrick's Day.

Tutorial
Things you need

  1. T- shirt
  2. Ribbon *about 3 yards~ 3 inches wide.*
  3. Scissors
  4. Chalk

Cut your neck

Lay your shirt on a flat surface.
lay your ribbon down and trace it with chalk.

now carefully cut  slits in your shirt.
*just the top layer.

weave your ribbon through, starting at the bottom.

Weave your ribbon all the way to the top.

Tie a bow,
and then anchor with a hand stitch.

There are so many different colors you could put together.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.:)
Lots of <3

    1. I tested the ribbon before I used it and it did not bleed at all. Hand wash in cold water, dry flat and it should be fine. Just test your ribbon, make sure you can wash it :)

    1. Yes, you don't have to cut out the collar, that should keep it in place.:)

    1. You could always pick a washable ribbon and just hang it dry instead of putting it in the dryer.:)

  24. Oh I love it. I make hair bows so I have tons of ribbon. im going to make this for my daughter but im wondering if weaving the ribbon around the middle and tying a bow in the back would work instead of up the side?

I would love you to go after this person and get it taken down. S/he is stealing the creativity of others to generate ad revenue - it's infuriating!

  27. Love your shirt and tutorial! I have a few t-shirts that I would probably wear more if they looked like this. Gives me a good excuse to go to the craft store for some ribbon ;)

  28. I tried something similar with an ild mens t-shirt I found at the thrift shop and it did not turn out as I had hoped. May I ask... did you go up a size or two in t-shirts and/or use a specific material?

Love all of the inspiration! Jen
